Cost & compensation
As an au pair you will extend your horizon in many ways, and you will carry the experience with you all your life. But of course there are also the more practical issues like costs and remuneration. Although each country and family has its specifics, in general the following will apply:
Costs (appr.):
- You will need to budget approximately R13.000 - R14.000 to become an au pair.
Compensation:
- Pocket money: appr. 340 Euro/month plus bonus
- Medical Insurance
- Paid leave (2 weeks)
- Free board & lodging
- Support from Au Pair Options: initial training course, local support from our agent within your host country, and annual personal visit to each au pair by Au Pair Options.
